I remember when...

Wi Spa

LA Sunrise

Having spent a satisfying Morning with Mom, we decided to go grab a bite to eat, then walk Torrey Pines State Beech for Sunset. It was a totally-fantastic day!

She asks "Where are we to spend our time tonight (given that I had not made sleep accommodations for that Friday)"?

'I don't really know . . . maybe we can find a hotel in the LA area that's close to the airport?'

[She immediately dives-down into her phone, and produces a solution]

"Wi Spa . . . it's gana be great."

Spaces

Despair and feeling hopelessness are languages that many are not able to speak.

I am heartbroken when I read the stories of those who have reached a "I cannot do 'this' any more" cusp-point.

I am heartbroken because I have been faced with such a cusp.

Mixed Signals

There’s no such thing as mixed signals. Mixed signals are actually clear signals You’re either misinterpreting or Straight up ignoring. If you can’t get a clear answer from someone, That IS your answer

49+ years of laughter

49+ years of laughter, talk, sadness, goofy faces, silence, dinner, catz, ablutions, happiness, and all the other moments that wrote the novel of Us . . .

. . . "a photo says a thousand words", it has been said.

30th HS Class Reunion

I awake late, clear in my head, but muddy in my body...the indulgence of enthusiasm sometimes carries me to eddies and backwaters; caution, of no heed.

Where did I lay that paddle?

Pounding Pansies

When Barbara said we were gana pound pansies this past Saturday, I just had to have her reiterate, 'cause, well, I had no idea...

So, you pluck some pansy/viola blooms…

Using a rubber mallet, one basically pounds the blooms between watercolor paper and parchment paper, transferring the colour from teh blooms into the absorptive paper, effectively creating an instant print!
