Cicadas whirring,
And first firefly last night!
Summer is forming.

Seeing your neighbor approaching on his regular walk
You prepare your greeting

The approach, greeting, response, and good-bye
All without either breaking stride
Requires careful thought
To avoid the banal or repetitious

I write on Nature,
And create many haiku.
Some are elegant.

Time slices our lives
In so very many ways.
Enjoy the slicing.

I am but a grain
In the sands that count your Time.
I will flow with you.

How do you capture
A bird's beautiful Spirit?
By being the Sky.

Human connection
Is much like finding water
In a high desert.

In my Fantasy,
I find that I Hold you back.
May I release You?

The Wind in my hair
Scatters my thoughts, and feelings.
The Sun warms my face.

I seek the Essence
With everything I write.
This is my Heart-Song.
