5:30 coffee
I go downstairs to the lobby of the motel on the Blue Ridge here in North Carolina to get some coffee.
The proprietor--up early, as usual--taking things to the Incontinental Breakfast Nook, stopped me and said, "Have you read the paper this morning?"

Transmutation

I'm fascinated by the elemental gifts of the Earth.
Particularly attractive is in how versatile they can be--singularly, and in the aggregate--in the construction of entirely new things.
Arriving home this afternoon, a stark contrast was apparent: my walk and stoop had been power-washed!

Syncronicity

I subscribe, for the most part, to a Carl Jung'ian view of things, and I feel very lucky that so much of the satisfaction of who I find my self to be is reflected in the thoughts and ideas he most-eloquently described, the truths of which are so personally self-evident as I continue to take them in, and find the senses to understand.

Buxus sempervirens

Grown on a hillside in North Carolina, these American boxwoods are a staple in our plantings.
I can't more eloquently describe the effect they have on a person as others have done, so I'll just share how I plant 'em.
