Ressurection fern on the trunk of an approx. 100 y/o live oak in Albany, Georgia.

Fascinated with fungal fruiting bodies, I found this puff-ball in the woods of South Georgia, Tuesday, and I became lost in the contrast between the coarseness of its expression, and how very alive it truly was.
